Here are just some of the highlights of Chicago to look forward to when you arrive:
- The city is well-recognized for its architecture and was the country’s innovation leader during the era of skyscrapers. Today, you can spot numerous architectural highlights on even a short walk downtown, and the soaring buildings make for a stunning setting for our film production students to practice their craft. Many Chicago greats have been forever captured in public sculpture, from statues of sports heroes like Michael Jordan and Harry Caray to media giants like Jack Brickhouse and Irv Kupcinet.
- Sample a variety of cuisines worldwide, with many of the best places to eat in Chicago found within its flourishing ethnic restaurant districts. From Mexican food in La Villita and Puerto Rican dishes in Paseo Boricua to incredible dining in Little Italy, Chinatown, Little Seoul, and more, you’ll never run out of new things to try.
- While you’re downtown for your classes, you’re never far from some of the best things to see in Chicago. Explore video production companies, museums, shops, parks, and even beaches in the area, or catch a game at the Chicago Bears stadium.
- Head over to the Lincoln Park area to stroll through the Lincoln Park Zoo, then browse the country’s largest concentration of contemporary art galleries (outside NYC) in the River North Gallery District. You can make your way to Hyde Park to enjoy more of Chicago’s parklands, including Washington Park and Jackson Park.
