Providing Quality Media Career Training For Over 30 Years
The Ohio Media School, Illinois Media School, Colorado Media School and the The Miami Media School are an American Private Institution that instructs students in all areas of the broadcast media industry. It is a comprehensive, hands-on program, where students are trained by broadcast media professionals currently working in the field. The Media schools possess a unique mix of broadcasting leadership and experience, educational excellence then combines this with industry technology and equipment that effectively replicates what students and graduates will see when they enter the workforce. These tools and methods of training and educating our students solidifies the Media Schools’ position at the forefront of broadcasting education.
Each campus offers day, afternoon and evening classes to accommodate any schedule. In addition to completing the thirty-six week* program, students are required to complete 160 intern hours to receive their certification. Internship opportunities are continually added to lists for students to browse and schedule interviews.
Academics
The school currently offers classes that lead to a certificate in Radio and Television Broadcasting. This 8-month* program offers hands-on technical training taught by current industry professionals. The Media Schools offer convenient day and evening class schedules.
As of 2015 The Media Schools developed and launched a series of Emphasis Programs with the goal of advancing the student experience to a higher level yet. The Emphasis programs were geared to take a particular focus and further hone the student’s skillset in a focused environment.
Admissions and Financial Aid
The Media Schools have an open-enrollment admission policy, requiring a high-school diploma or GED, passing of a vocal audition (reading of a short script) and successfully passing a background check (Violent Felonies will prevent acceptance).
The program accepts the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Direct Student Loan Program, Federal Direct Plus Loans, Federal Perkins Loan, and a completion grant for prospective students who already possess a bachelor’s degree.

The Media Schools are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and are members of the following:
